The best fish and chips you are likely to find. Melbourne chipperies dream if having thick, fresh, juicy calamari rings like these guys serve up, with a crunchy batter to boot. No frozen chewy rubbish here. The standard fish has beatiful dense white flesh, not dry, and again a tasty light crunchy batter. Chips are chunky, crispy, yet soft inside. Had a family meal with three large fillets, and a large serve of calamari/squid rings with a generous portion of chips. You wont regret coming here, eat it fresh! Photo only shows part of order as we only posted after we started eating!

Just had 2 shark n chips and squid rings and the shark was sensational and the chips and squid rings absolutely perfect. I've had fish n chips all over Australia and ocean Banquet is up there with the best and they are consistently good.

First time trying Ocean Banquet my husband and I are from New Zealand and we are fussy when it comes to fish and chips food was absolutely tasty so yummy staff are so friendly and the customer service was amazing portion sizes are really good highly recommend we got an ocean basket, 2 Kiwi hotdogs, 4 potato scallops( fritters to us)$2 hot chips we were given a bigger size snapper instead of a small so impressed A++++

This fish and chip shop is the best it has been for years, have been in the area for 40 years. Best fish and chips ,friendly , timely. Even our 5 year old grandson loves the fish. I had to change from kids serve to full size.

Delicious and fresh fish and chips - we ordered the family pack (snapper for the fish) and squid rings. Everything was perfectly cooked. The owner was lovely and helpful - I ordered over the phone and being my first time, I wasn’t sure what to order and he patiently explained the menu options to me. Great customer service and he graciously threw in a free drink for me! Thank you!

The food was both tasty and affordable. I love curry with my chips and not everywhere does it. The chips come in generous servings like they did back in the 90s. Today the staff/owners went above and beyond to improve my day for no reason than to be kind to a stranger. I really appreciate it - merry Christmas.

Excellent fish/lage prawns/squid rings - so tender moist in a light batter. Chips excellent. Had a garden salad - so fresh plus 3 tpyes of saladad dressing attached to lid. Highly recommend - the best in the area and we have tried them all! Jacquie Farrace
